Yaw Agyekum, affectionately known as Akili Bobo, is a multifaceted
businessman and real estate investor known for his strategic acumen
and philanthropic endeavors. Raised in Ghana, West Africa, Agyekum has
established himself as a prominent figure in the medical sector,
serving as the CEO of one of Columbus, Ohio’s home health companies
since 2005. His leadership has been pivotal in providing top-tier home
health services, reflecting his commitment to excellence and community
welfare.

Agyekum has successfully bridged his heritage and entrepreneurial
spirit, creating a significant impact across continents. Alongside his
wife, Delali Agyekum, he co-founded The Yaw & Delali Foundation, a
charitable organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged
communities through various initiatives, cementing their shared vision
for social change.

Together with his wife, they are recipients of multiple awards,
including Who’s Who in Black Ohio for Entrepreneurship and the
Adinkra Excellence Award for their work in the community.

A family man at heart, Agyekum is a devoted husband and a proud father
to three daughters: Thelma, Nana and Brenda. His personal journey from
the shores of Ghana to the bustling business landscape of America is a
testament to his resilience and determination, inspiring many in his
pursuit of the American dream while staying rooted in his cultural
identity. Agyekum has an Associate of Science degree in both
Respiratory Care and Nursing and also graduated from Prempeh College,
one of the top High Schools in Ghana.

During his downtime, he enjoys reading, working out and spending time
with his family. His three beautiful daughters have become his why in
life.
